About

Builder, writer, and lifelong learner.

I build digital products and document what I learn along the way. This is the longer version.

I'm Fad. I build products at the intersection of design and engineering — and I treat the whole thing as one craft, not separate jobs.

For years I quietly shipped projects, kept the lessons in my head, and moved on. At some point I realized the building was only half the value; the other half was in sharing the journey — the dead ends, the small wins, the things I'd do differently.

So this site is my digital home: a place to build in public, write about what I learn, and keep a running record of the work. Not a résumé — a living journal.

Timeline

  1. Now

    Building products in public

Shipping tools, writing about the process, and learning in the open.

  2. 2024

    Went all-in on building

Started treating building products as a craft — design, code, and distribution.

  3. 2022

    Discovered writing

Began documenting lessons. Writing turned out to be the best way to think.

  4. 2019

    First real product

Shipped something people actually used. It changed how I see software.

Philosophy

Build in public

Sharing the process beats hoarding the outcome. Feedback compounds.

Ship to learn

The fastest way to understand a problem is to put something real in front of people.

Write to think

If I can't explain it simply, I don't understand it yet.

Stay curious

The half-life of any specific skill is short. Learning how to learn is the edge.

Current mission

To build a small portfolio of useful products, write a body of work I'm proud of, and help others who are building their own thing find the courage to start.
